Intensive therapy is especially useful when time is an issue. Perhaps, you have a crisis situation...or limited availability to schedule an appointment. You can be seen individually, in a couple, or family.
Some ideal times to use intensive therapy:
commuter marriages that are in trouble
unresolved conflict with a visiting out-of-town family member
urgent decision-making
coping with a recent traumatic event
sudden, unexpected transition
imminent separation or divorce.
Intensive therapy sessions are scheduled in a minimum block of four therapeutic hours (180 minutes) and a maximum of two days or four blocks of four therapeutic hours (720 minutes).
