Therapy is a healthcare service. It's primary focus is to identify diagnose and treat behavioral health disorders. It is usually reimbursable through health insurance policies.
The goals of therapy include:
1) alleviating symptoms,
2) understanding the underlying personality, relational, or environmental dynamics that create the symptoms,
3) changing the problematic behaviors or interactions, and
4) helping clients cope with their issues of concern.
Types of Therapy
Individuals - Clients are seen one-on-one.
Couples - Clients are seen in pairs.
Families - Multiple family members are seen at one time.
